The Slava's Snow show filmed in 3D

The Slava's Snow show filmed in 3D by "La Compagnie des Indes", Binocle and the AMP VISUAL TV Group.

SLAVA POLUNIUM is probably the greatest, contemporary Russian clown, with a worldwide reputation. From Hong-Kong to Sydney and New York, his Snow show, a visual and musical event, has brought tears of joy to people around the world. It is a journey through the absurd and surreal world of a "commando unit" of fifteen clowns with red noses; a genuine work of art where each scene is like a painting. Soap bubbles, huge spider's webs, snow storms, fantastic green creatures with long-eared hats; the audiences fall under the spell of this poetic universe.

For Gildas Le Roux (Compagnie des Indes), the Slava's snow show was undoubtedly the opportunity to put his ideas about 3D production into practice. "You have to have a show that fits the bill. This one basically uses special effects that are highlighted by 3D production."

In conjunction with the AMP VISUAL TV Group (Car 5) and Binocle, the producer Dominique THIEL, La Compagnie des Indes wanted to take things to a new level by creating a reference in 3D capture of a live show.

After filming in HD, the producer made four recordings especially for 3D: two in studio conditions and two in live show conditions with an audience. For each take, 6 axes were used (each equipped with 2HDC 1500). A crane, a steadicam and a travelling camera were also used.

The Slava's Snow show should be broadcast at the end of the year in HD on ARTE and TV5 MONDE and in 3D on the dedicated Orange channel. The programme will undoubtedly be broadcast across many international channels.
