Rolling out the red carpet for AMP VISUAL TV

TV Festival

The Festival de Cannes took place on the Croisette from May 16th to the 27th. We performed four services : Le Grand Journal, TV Festival, the opening and the closing ceremonies. Let's have a look...

This year, TV Festival changed its way of operating. Unlike the previous years, it is no longer a flight case production unit adapted for the occasion, but our OB truck “G” completely dedicated to the Festival’s official channel. TV Festival follows all the events during this period : the photo calls (with 3 cameras) with complete exclusivity, the interviews carried out on the roof of the Palais des Festivals by Pierre Zéni (with 2 cameras), the press conferences (with 2 cameras) and when the film stars climbed the steps (with 7 cameras and 1 crane). TV Festival is broadcasted on cable TV, on all French internet boxes (Orange, SFR, Numéricable…), on all the screens of the Palais des Festivals and in the rooms of the Croisette hotels.

We equally shot the opening and closing ceremonies with our OB truck “8”. Concerning the opening ceremony, we installed 6 long focal cameras, 1 RF camera, 2 Beauty Shot cameras (for wide panning shots) and 1 crane camera. For the closing ceremony, our technicians installed 7 long focal cameras, 1 portable camera, 1 RF camera, 2 Beauty Shot cameras and 1 crane camera. All in all, a more important device than for the opening ceremony.

Finally, the Grand Journal TV, was, once again, transferred from our Rive Gauche studios in Paris to the Martinez beach in Cannes. This show hosts the most famous international film stars during the 2 weeks and also receives the signals from TV Festival, which is aired live on Canal+ thanks to our OB truck “11”.
