Rallye de France: a life-size equipment set

Rallye de France 2014

On the first weekend of October, the Rallye de France, part of the WRC World Championship, took place. Our teams were broadcasting live from Alsace on Canal + using an extensive RF equipment set-up.

With over 10 on-board cameras, 2 Cineflex helicopters, 3 cameras for each "special", interviews on arrival, our relay aircraft to ensure RF links - up to 90/100km away - and connect them to the Extender 1 OB truck, the techniques deployed by the 30 AMP VISUAL TV technicians made sure that no part of the race was missed.

3D Sequences

Even better, viewers could enjoy a better view of the race's development thanks to the 3D computer graphics sequences developed by our partner TRIMARAN, which use geolocation data provided at the same time as our TV pictures.

The result is an extraordinary, unmissable broadcast of embedded images and peripheral data.

The 2014 race was won by Jari-Matti Latvala, who joins the prestigious club of Nordic champions on the concrete of the World Rally Championship.
