Taking the Fort...

Since 10 July in France, the new season of "Fort Boyard" has been back on France 2 with its batch of new surprises. As usual, Visual TV was behind the camera for this exceptional filming project.

Some twenty technicians rush by in the staircases of Fort Boyard; however, they are not following the guide Passe-Partout, nor trying to find solutions to Père Fourras' puzzles...they are getting positioned to film these enigmatic stars of the show. The technical team on site have an impressive set-up at their disposal: a Flight Case PPU with 8 cameras, a crane-based camera, an underwater camera and dozens of hand-held cameras. The filming began on 24 May and finished on 16 July. The teams of the AMP Visual TV Group filmed between 2 and 3 shows a day with 5 or 6 filming days per week. In addition to the French show, they were also filming the foreign shows broadcast in 27 countries. For a few weeks, Fort Boyard was the scene of numerous international meetings.

In France, the game has been revamped, with two teams per show, rather than one, battling it out during the different trials. The winning team meets the winners from the previous week during a second series of tests. The team that is victorious in the final match can win up to €10,000 each week and €100,000 during the "super final", which designates the overall champion for the 2010 season.
