"Les Vieilles Canailles" on the big screen

Vieilles Canailles

Three great stars have created the event of the autumn by performing a series of concerts at the Palais Omnisports de Paris Bercy. Jacques Dutronc, Eddy Mitchell and Johnny Hallyday were reunited under the title of "Vieilles Canailles" ("The Old Rascals") for a memorable spectacle. On the 9th November, this concert was even filmed and rebroadcast live in over 200 cinemas in France, Belgium and Switzerland.

Cinema theatres are- successfully- playing the live event card more and more often. The quality of the screens, the welcome and the viewing comfort allow ballets, operas or live concerts to be fully enjoyed and in excellent conditions. The public absolutely loves it.

It was a godsend for fans who were unable to visit the "Vieilles Canailles" in Paris, as their sold-out concert was broadcast live on Sunday 9th November.

It was AMP VISUAL TV who, under the auspices of Pathé Live and the direction of Tristan Carné, took charge of the recording. Controlling the Millénium Signature 11 and fifteen cameras, the director wanted to immerse the spectators as much as possible, who were almost under the illusion of being at Bercy for the duration of the concert.

The signal, encoded in AC3 and broadcast by satellite was of course perfectly adapted to the silver screens' standard of quality.
