The Arctic Race: riding the roads of the Arctic Circle
From 13 to 16 August, the world's best cycle racers met to tackle the planet's northernmost race course: the Arctic Race of Norway, which lies within the Arctic Circle. For the race's third year, ASO once again placed its trust in AMP VISUAL TV and its RF expertise, to film the event.
After the Tour de Pologne last week, our team and RF facilities packed up and headed to Norway for the Arctic Race, taking 3 RF motorbikes with them. It was the maiden voyage for one of the bikes, which is a fresh addition to our RF facilities. A nimbler motorbike, it is ergonomically designed with the comfort of the driver and cameraman in mind. Fitted with the latest technology, this new RF motorbike will soon accompanied by a number of other models tuned with the latest adjustments following this first test.
In addition to the 3 RF motorbikes, a helicopter, relay plane and an RF receiver truck complete the equipment in use for the Arctic Race. They followed the racers across Norway over the full four days of the race.
Estonia's Rein Taaramäe won the 2015 event. The Arctic Race travels through some stunning landscapes and stands out as a unique event on the international cycling calendar.
