AMP Visual TV

The winning service in 3D at Roland Garros

roland garros

This year, Orange contracted the AMP Visual TV Group to broadcast matches at the Roland Garros tennis tournament in 3D.

The Car 5 of SOFT BROADCAST was therefore dispatched to capture all the matches on Centre Court in 3D. It used 4 3D axes and acted as the final production room for channel 33 of Orange TV, the new 3D channel launched by the operator on 23 May 2010. Orange also rebroadcast the highlights. This was a first for tennis and demonstrated the promising future of 3D television! At the same time, the AMP Visual TV Group covered the tournament in 2D for Orange Sport, by recovering the international signals and adding private signals (interviews, TV studio sets...).
